What your taste tells about you
「The honest stranger」
You become more honest when the world is unfamiliar.
Looking at all 9 picks together, power imbalance comes through most clearly in 6 of them, followed by chaotic intensity (3) and direct emotion (3). That said, safe comfort swings the most from pick to pick, some lean in hard while others pull back, giving your taste a real push-and-pull quality.
Choosing "Nevermore", "The Croaking", and "Castle Swimmer" together stands out: you seem drawn to unfamiliar worlds because they make room for a freer version of yourself to appear.. Meanwhile, "Tied in Red (Complete)" hints at something quieter underneath: using humor as a safer way around heavier feelings.
Your picks move through strange rules, new identities, and impossible settings. Familiar reality can lock you into a role, but a different world lets a freer, clearer version of you appear. You may not hate your real life, but you feel overly known inside it, defined by expectations, routines, or old versions of yourself. Stories set elsewhere matter because they create a space where desire can be tested without immediate consequences. In a strange world you get to ask who you might be if no one had already decided.
Hidden desire
To start again somewhere no one already knows you. And because "Nevermore" sits furthest from the rest of your grid, what you may actually want is permission to begin again even after it feels late.
Best match
Someone curious about your changes.
Avoid
Anyone who needs you to stay predictable.
